ARE YOUR REACHING FOR THE STARS?

If you desire to foster more unity through diversity in your ministry than here are 5 intentional things you can do NOW to encourage more diversity to happen organically within your ministry:

While this is just a start, it is a great start that, if done consistently over time, will help your ministry welcome and eventually reflect more diversity.

Here’s The Goal:
We hope to get at least 500 ministries by 2011 to reach 5 stars on a regular basis, and encourage their affiliates, and satellite campuses to do the same.

	Regularly diversifying our platform (i.e. worship team, teaching, announcements).
	Actively diversify our staff, board of elders to reflect the diversity we desire to see within our congregation.
	Invite other preachers/ teachers to share from my platform.
	Fund scholarship opportunities (directly through a bible college or through the DOD scholarship fund).
	Host internships opportunities for prospective candidates that represents the diversity that we desire to have on our staff and in our congregation.

	Diversify our staff and professor faculty to reflect the diversity we desire to have at our college/ university.
	Diversify of board of directors to reflect the diversity we desire in our student body.
	Bring in more speakers, and teachers for keynotes and chapels that reflect the diversity we desire to achieve in our student body.
	Illustrate diversity in all of our promotional and marketing material.
	Create and/ or promote financial aid opportunities to attract a student body that reflects the diversity we desire to achieve.

	Diversifying our staff to reflect the diverse candidacy we desire to attract to our ministry.
	Partner with more churches and ministries that represent the diversity we desire to achieve in our own ministry.
	Hire and maintain ministry leadership that represents the diversity of global ministry.
	Reflect diversity in all of our promotional and marketing material.
	Allocate funds/ scholarship opportunities to pastoral candidates and ministry leaders that represent and are committed to growing multi-cultural churches and ministries.

Stay up to date
